Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the TiagoBBQ website and our catering services. By making a booking with us, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

TiagoBBQ is a Brazilian BBQ catering service based in Auckland, New Zealand. We provide live charcoal cooking, professional chef services, full setup and cleanup for events of all sizes.

2. Quotes and pricing

All package prices listed on our website are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST will be added to your final quote, along with any applicable travel or custom setup fees.

Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless agreed otherwise.

3. Bookings and deposits

• BBQ catering bookings start from NZ$2,000 + GST
• Burger catering bookings start from NZ$1,200 + GST
• A NZ$350 deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure your event date
• The deposit is deducted from the final invoice
• Final guest numbers and payment are due at least 5 working days before the event

4. Cancellation policy

• Cancellations more than 14 days before the event: full refund of deposit
• Cancellations between 7 and 14 days before the event: 50% of the deposit retained
• Cancellations within 7 days of the event: full deposit retained
• In case of cancellation by TiagoBBQ (rare circumstances), a full refund will be issued

5. Changes to your booking

You may request changes to your booking (date, guest count, package) up to 7 days before your event. Changes are subject to availability and may affect the final price.

6. Our service

Our standard service includes:

• Setup of grill and BBQ equipment (typically 2 hours before service)
• Live charcoal cooking and active service (up to 3 hours)
• Professional chef and serving team
• Eco-friendly compostable cutlery
• Complete cleanup of the catering area

Extended service times are available on request.

7. Venue requirements

You are responsible for ensuring the venue is suitable for live charcoal BBQ catering, including:

• A flat, accessible space of at least 3m × 3m
• Access to a standard 10A power point
• Permission from the venue owner where applicable
• Any required permits for outdoor cooking, if applicable

8. Food safety and dietary requirements

TiagoBBQ is fully halal certified. We accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free and other dietary needs when notified at least 7 days before the event. While we take great care, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TiagoBBQ's liability is limited to the value of the booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

You agree to indemnify TiagoBBQ against any claims arising from misuse of equipment, venue restrictions you failed to disclose, or weather-related disruptions outside our control.

10. Weather

Our service is operational in all standard weather conditions. In extreme weather (heavy rain, high winds), we may require an undercover area at the venue. We will work with you to find solutions but cannot reschedule events without applicable cancellation terms.

11. Photos and content

We may take photos at events for marketing purposes. If you do not wish photos to be taken, please let us know in advance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the New Zealand courts.
